For your book, you will need to use technology to make a presentation that includes the following information:
Author: short biography, awards, other books
Brief overview of literary elements, including plot, main characters, conflict, setting, themes. (You don’t have to give away the ending of the story so you don’t ruin it for others)
Two issuesor situations or historical figures or events that are a part of your book that you found interesting or new that you can research. Research these and write a description of what you found/ learned. Include images, maps, music, etc that enhances your findings along with your written description/explanation. Also make sure to cite your sources (and don’t plagiarize!).
At least two links (I might increase this number) to sites with further information, or from which you got your information.
You will need to post/embed it on our class wiki on the page I designate for the reports.
You will need to be able to talk about and share your project fluently during our Book Club Coffee Shop Day toward the end of the trimester.
I reserve the right to make minor adjustments or additions to these requirements until three weeks before the end of the trimester and to make changes for second and third trimesters.
Below is a list of possible mediums for your projects. I am researching other possible tools or methods available. I welcome your suggestions in this regard. We will spend at least an introductory amount of time on most of these different options throughout the trimester but you will have to put in some time on your own to really master them. I encourage you to start working on these even before you finish the book. Playing with the layouts etc and researching topics as you read will be good use of your time.
